Guard Dog - Chapter 12 (FINAL CHAPTER)
Here is the last chapter of Guard Dog. Please do not try and continue the story since this is how I am ending it. And please don’t try to make a story that resembles Guard Dog. Anywho, I’m so glad that I completed Guard Dog. Started in the summer and ended near the end of summer, Thanks for supporting and reading Guard Dog 🙂 P.S. – This photo was taken outside at night, so don’t assume that the street light looks like the sun XD

Roxxi ran

She jogged to her home

"I can’t wait to talk to Clawd tomorrow!" That was what she kept telling herself as she began to jog back to her house. When she got to her yard, Roxxi’s eyes widened as she whispered…

“C-Clawd?”

Roxxi backed away as Clawd approached her, glaring at her and yelled, “You’re late!”

“Ehhhh?!”

Roxxi was confused.

She didn’t expect to see Clawd standing by her door. She didn’t expect to be yelled by Clawd outside her house like he was some drunk office employee with a nagging wife.

Not to mention…

Roxxi quickly checked the clock in her phone before she turned her attention back to Clawd.

“I-It’s only seven thirty…” Roxxi gripped her skirt tightly as she commented, “It’s not that late…”

“It’s only an hour before you go to sleep.” Clawd countered and Roxxi stared at Clawd with a blank expression before…

“I’m not a kid!” Roxxi shouted as she stepped forward, unnerved that Clawd was treating her like a kid.

Clawd placed his hand on Roxxi’s head and mumbled, “You’re still in middle school.”

“Wha-I’m in high school!” Roxxi shouted and looked away, pouting as she added, “Sure. I look like a middle school student… I mean, Phoebe also said that and there are times people say the same thing but- Ah! Clawd-”

Roxxi gasped when Clawd suddenly pulled her towards the older man. Roxxi was pulled up and she felt Clawd’s arms wrapped around her. With her feet no longer touching the ground, the only thing keeping Roxxi on the air were Clawd’s arms: one arm was around Roxxi’s shoulder and another arm was around her waist. Roxxi blushed as she felt Clawd rest his head on her shoulder, “C-Clawd?”

“It feels weird…” Clawd mumbled and Roxxi frowned.

“I-If it feels weird then please let go.” Roxxi replied although she began to feel the pain in her chest once more.

What if Clawd always felt that it was weird that Roxxi kept hugging him those last few days but she just never said anything because of the collar?

“I mean… you are… hugging a girl…” Roxxi reasoned out but bit her bottom lip and closed her eyes, cursing inwardly as she knew that she was about to cry once more.

“That’s not it.” Clawd said and Roxxi felt Clawd tighten his embrace around her, “It feels weird that… I don’t want to let go of you kid.”

Roxxi blushed at Clawd’s word but she also felt a sharp tug in her chest when she heard the name Clawd used. Roxxi rested her head on Clawd’s shoulder and asked, “Why?”

“I don’t really know why. I just know I feel… so comfortable…” Clawd mumbled and nuzzled against Roxxi’s neck.

“T-That’s not what I’m asking!” Roxxi shouted as her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red at Clawd’s actions. Roxxi looked away and asked with a soft voice, “Why are you doing this?”

“Uh… How can I explain this…” Clawd gently dropped Roxxi back to her feet and took out a piece of paper from his vest pocket. Clawd showed it to Roxxi. Written in the piece of paper were words that seemed to be orders of some sort.

Roxxi read the words out loud, “Remember what happened a few days ago. Believe what Joelle and Deuce would say. Eat Roxxi’s cooking everyday…”

Roxxi blushed as she read the last order, “H-Hug Roxxi?”

Clawd nodded and looked at the piece of paper as he explained, “You probably already know but I don’t have any memories about the last few days.”

Roxxi nodded at Clawd’s words and Clawd continued, “Joelle…called me earlier to tell me to meet with her as soon as possible. When I got to her, she gave me this paper.”

“B-But…” Roxxi looked down and asked softly, “Why are you believing a piece of paper?”

“Well… it’s from Joelle so I believe its real.” Clawd reasoned and frowned as he heard Roxxi chuckle, “Oi. What’s so funny?”

Roxxi placed her hand by her chest, smiling as she closed her eyes.

Being with Clawd like this…

It reminded her of those last few days.

A part of Roxxi kept on telling her…

‘This isn’t the Clawd you came to know a few days back.’

But this conversation proved otherwise. With or without those memories, Clawd was still Clawd…

… and Roxxi wanted to be with Clawd.

It still feels sad knowing that Clawd may never remember that last few days.

That’s right…

Why didn’t Roxxi thought about it before?

“Oi.” Clawd called out once more and Roxxi opened her eyes.

I-I’m sorry for not answering sooner.” Roxxi whispered and looked back at Clawd, smiling as she said, “I just felt like it was so like of you to believe in Joelle.”

“S-Shut up…” Clawd mumbled, lookin

Multi tasking or the irony of a mother's weightloss

Multi tasking or the irony of a mother's weightloss
Isn’t it amazing how as women we are so proficient at multi tasking. We can cook dinner, help with homework, soothe a crying wee one, and clean windows all while talking to a treasured friend on the phone. While folding laundry today on my wee bit of free time between volunteering in all 3 kids classrooms, running errands, and working out with a friend I had just a few minutes to eat my lunch, pick up the house, make dinner, fold laundry, and make phone calls. While in the midst of this it made me appreciate the ability God gave me to multi task (sometimes it is hard to look at it as a blessing when it seems like I am the only one in the house with this super power) so I thought that I would share that amazing gift as my pic this week.

I also had an epiphany while folding these clothes. I was starting to fold this pair of my undies and was amazed at how smaller they are then the ones I used to own (I also thought about how my undie purchases have chainged from back in the day. I am totally about healthy cotton goodness instead of silky, thongy, sexiness post children). I know I have bought smaller since I have lost weight but I guess the actual reality of the size difference did not dawn on me until today. It was also interesting to think that I am shrinking as fast as my kiddos are growing. In the past year, Gwen has grown about 5" taller and my waist has went down by the same number!

Oh, and that white sticker on my shirt is a school visitor pass. Since the schools are hurting for money I wear the same one all day instead of getting a new one when I enter the building. May not seem like a big deal but me doing this saves over 75 of those little puppies a year.
